A Few Graphs Say It All for Weather-Dependent “Renewables”

The reason why wind and solar still confidently claim to be the cheapest energy sources is that they have never been asked to pay for the balancing mayhem they cause. Weather-dependent energies always need available backup as it needs to be a fast backup, it is the most expensive kind. We run this through our network capacities that were historically here to prevent our energy system from failing during extreme events. Wind and solar have always been freeloaders as they are the only ones that need this kind of assistance. It’s time we pinned those costs to them instead of swallowing them through ballooning energy bills. It’s enough.
