America’s Ballooning Gas Output Needs a Release Valve

They could have a very old release valve which is the domestic transport market of North America. T Boone Pickens has pioneered this with LNG fueling all over the US. Expand on that. Introduce new models of trucks, buses, and domestic heavy horsepower applications, and don’t forget to gasify the Caribbean. The domestic US fuels market is gargantuan. It would swallow almost any amount of LNG thrown at it. Get busy developing it. It also cleans the air (I am looking at you Los Angeles with your filthy summer smog). That would also reduce oil use and leave more for export. It’s easier to export oil than gas. And gas is cheaper than oil products most of the time as well. What are you waiting for?

New LNG export plants will bring relief to US producers, but they’ll take time.
