As Germany joins LNG import race, a long and crowded track awaits
This must be the most confusing and outright insane time in LNG I remember and for a relative newbie to the business as Germany is, that won’t make things easier. especially as I know how many prospective german buyers function internally. But as bad as this is, it’s not nearly the biggest stick that stirs the LNG pot. That would be China. Its economy is crash landing and we don’t know where the floor is. China has already released cargo back into the market as they have lower demand. That will continue as narratives change and the CCP seems to need a sharp change. So volumes will be here.
