Biden prepares to end new oil and coal leases on federal land

So, when federal lands cannot be used anymore then the shale industry will move on private lands. Sure, Biden will try to throw a wrench into those activities as well but I doubt that he will have a lot of free mental capacity to deal with this issue. His crack troops have already shown that they won’t fade quietly into the background no that he is in charge. He will have to deal with them but this will rile a good part of those who supported him in the first place. Considering that he has half the country despising him he is in a bad place. I expect some high profile defections in not too long a time. But busy politicians make life easier for the man on the street. What do we need the entire bunch for again?

Biden's move would block the sale of new mining and drilling rights across some 700 million acres of federal land. It could also block offshore oil and gas leasing, though details are still being developed.
