Yes, and people think it’s because of the war or because of COVID policies or whatever else strikes their fancy. But the true reason is that more than a decade of activism against reliable energy has finally weakened the global energy system to the point where cascade failures become the norm. There is only so much one can heap onto those who pull the cart until it breaks down or they run out of juice to pull it. Reliable energy such as coal, oil, gas, and nuclear have pulled the cart and saved us from winds and solars irregularity. No more – we finally pay the piper.
