Elon sure stirs the pot but he also knows quite well what colossal spending temples many companies are. I worked in some very large ones that were on the conservative side and I often had a feeling that the companies would have worked better if 75% of the workforce would have been set free. The question is always, who is the good 25%, or the good 10% as Twitter might be a lot closer to that number. Pruning the tree is bound to result in mistakes, hiccups, and unpleasantness but it’s the right thing to do. When Twitter is done, investors will ask the same from other SM giants. The wailing and gnashing of teeth have only just begun.
