Blood Batteries? Climate Advocates Grappling with the Gruesome Human Cost of Renewable Energy
Ethics – in the same sentence with Renewable Energy? Thats a mouthful. We have the razing of ancient forests to make place for windfarms. And some more razing to provide biomass for green electricity. We have entire regions in China full of toxic waste from solar panel and rare earth production. We have old aquifers in Chile that have provided water forever being depleted at record pace to get lithium extracted. We have birds and insects chopped up by the metric ton per minute – they have no time to care about children in Africa. The resources required for wind, solar and EV’s create much more destruction in a yar than oil and gas in decades. And they still think they save the planet. The only thing they save is their wallets.
