Cheniere surprised by lack of European LNG contracting

Cheniere likely thought that Europeans would queue up and pay any price for any amount of LNG they would offer. You have not made your homework Cheniere. Europeans still dream of getting back to their situation before the Ukraine war and executives in European gas traders and utility companies will make all the right noises about the security of supply and diversification of sources, but deep in their hearts, they want to go back to the old world they know. It won’t come back but that will take a long while to sink in. And when it does we will need better than just LNG imports.

I was introduced to and met Rudi in Angola when he started to develop his Sub Saharan Africa network.
