Retreating glaciers in Norway liberate ancient mountain passes complete with waystations for medieval travelers and their leftovers that were buried under ice for centuries. Greenland’s glaciers spit out tree rootstocks thousands of years old that are vestiges of old forests that existed there at a time. Svalbard and Jan Mayen have graves of medieval whalers dug in the frozen dirt. All things that must have happened at times warmer than now. Glaciers waxed and waned before humanity and won’t stop just because some alarmists want to stop Earth’s natural evolution.

I was introduced to and met Rudi in Angola when he started to develop his Sub Saharan Africa network. At the time he worked for EconGas/OMV and he tried organizing longterm LNG supply for them under the unlikeliest of all circumstances.
