Climate Activism Isn’t About the Planet. It’s About the Boredom of the Bourgeoisie

Those people have no idea what the life of someone normal is like. I know because I was a bodyguard for billionaires in the past and lived with them, talked with them and their children, had lunch with them and I knew quite a lot of what they were worried about. It’s true, they are bored and they are on the lookout for something that keeps them busy and they are also constantly being harassed by lots of people with business proposals and other stuff about their money. So they cut the outer world out, watch the news, and have no corrective grounded in realism that we have. They think the freakshow that the news today is is the real world and they are getting scared from their own shadows for real.

The downfall of capitalism will not come from the uprising of an impoverished working class but from the sabotage of a bored upper class.

I was introduced to and met Rudi in Angola when he started to develop his Sub Saharan Africa network. At the time he worked for EconGas/OMV and he tried organizing longterm LNG supply for them under the unlikeliest of all circumstances.
