It’s a bit like a counter-terrorism official having a situation on his hands in the real world and in order to find out how his planned operation will work he looks at two different ego shooter video games. Those games have no attachment to reality and should be discarded for this kind of thing. Any sane person would understand this. However, in climate science, we compare simulations to simulations and shape real-world policy to the results.
