The correct reaction to the current oil and gas calamity the world faces should be met by other words by the Biden administration. Here is a suggestion for something Biden could say: “This is an opportunity that we want to embrace vividly as it must be clear that implementing all the stuff that I have promised will make your lives a lot more unaffordable, you will freeze a lot more and drive a lot less and barely surviving will be a struggle that many won’t be able to cope with. But it’s the right thing to do so lets all cheer.” But expecting honesty from a politician might be a tall order.
