Of course, they have not. Politicians know quite well that the second they try to translate those lofty aims into hard policy that stings, they will be toast at the next election. So they try to play it both ways. Virtue signaling towards the green fanatics as they are afraid of their brainless actionism and slow go anything of substance to make voters feel it’s not really all that bad. But that game only lasts you for a while as eventually, the activists will want blood on the dancefloor and the voters will get pissed regardless.
