Germany, to the south of Demark, will provide the most glaring case study on how to wreck an economy. But Germany has always been a massive energy importer. Domestic production of anything but coal was always negligible. But Denmark had a nice nest egg called oil and gas that helped it sustain its very generous social system and, by the way, hide some of the worst blunders of their politicians.
