Drill, Europe, Or Sink!

I am afraid that Europe won’t do any of that and that it will continue digging the hole it is in ever deeper until there is hardly any industry left. A unique selling point is hard to build up, as is a positive reputation. Both are very easy and quick to reverse into their bad counterparts. Germany had a reputation for quality and good engineering in the past – now they just try to copy the very latest fad. No developments of their own. Some countries will ensure moderate comfort and wealth as glorified tourist traps (museums for real) but who wants to go visit Germany for its tourist attractions? The party is over.

I was introduced to and met Rudi in Angola when he started to develop his Sub Saharan Africa network. At the time he worked for EconGas/OMV and he tried organizing longterm LNG supply for them under the unlikeliest of all circumstances.
