Egypt LNG restart optimism no substitute for gas strategy

It’s easy to forget that Egypt is a population juggernaut. 1 in 3 Arabs is Egyptian. And half of all North Africans live in Egypt as well. Most of this massive population squeezes together in the Nile Valley. This means that north-south traffic is enormous and very important. This also means that a few filling stations would be enough to cover the majority of Egyptian trucking. Sounds like ideal conditions for LNG as a fuel. It’s cheaper than diesel and the horrendous air in those cities would finally get better as well.
