Ain’t that cute? Out of sight, out of mind seems to run deep in Alarmist’s veins. Lets put the destruction under the sea where we cannot see it. Because children that work in the poison mines in Congo are a disturbing sight and don’t fit within the narrative of a perfect utopian future. No children on the seafloor – just a fauna nobody ever sees. Don’t get me wrong. If we need to mine, we need to mine. We should do so carefully and not needlessly destroy the environment. We live on this planet and e should use its resources but what alarmists propose here is replacing a bad situation with a worse – just one that we cannot see so easily. Only for some to virtue signal.
Demand is soaring for the metal cobalt, an essential ingredient in batteries and abundant on the seabed.
