Electric Vehicle Subsidies Bring Unintended Consequences

Electric Vehicles are toys for the rich paid for by the average tax-payer who cannot afford such a toy. How is that going to improve social cohesion? In Europe, cracks are already opening as even automobile associations start to ask hard questions. Is the endgame a world where only the top 20% can afford individual mobility?

Electric vehicles subsidies have brought unintended consequences to the markets where they were issued. While the technology is promising, more research and preparation is necessary.

I was introduced to and met Rudi in Angola when he started to develop his Sub Saharan Africa network. At the time he worked for EconGas/OMV and he tried organizing longterm LNG supply for them under the unlikeliest of all circumstances.
