Elevated CO2 Reduces Temperature Stress in Plants

It’s a secret every greenhouse grower knows. Increase CO2 intake by plants and you have faster growth, bigger plants, better plant health, lower water consumption, and much bigger harvests with much better fruits and vegetables. It’s stuff we learn in school, CO2 is to plants what O2 is to us. But we have the luxury of 26% O2 – plants have to deal with only 0,04% of CO2. They are close to asphyxiation. If plants die because of asphyxiation, we have a real problem to worry about.
