Kodak missed the train on a technology that was better and outflanked it at every twist and turn without the need for mountains of subsidies. How many speeches by politicians do you remember that claimed that more needs to be done to enable digital photography? How many demonstrations were held for smartphones? Thursdays for better images. It was a market and technology shift so Kodak lost. Pull all the support out of renewables, EV’s and hydrogen and see what happens. Oil is very far from a Kodak event. But it’s going to change regardless into a much leaner, sharper, and more modern beast.
