It ends for some. If one looks at US gas prices they are still relatively low. Sure, they doubled over the last 18 months but in absolute terms, compared to what Asians shell out for their gas, this is still pretty affordable. And increased drilling (that is what higher prices do) will make sure that enough supply will slosh in. Europe is not as well off but its massive pipeline position buffers the blow. But Asia takes the prices for the price explosion.
The era of cheap natural gas is over, giving way to an age of far more costly energy that will create ripple effects across the global economy.
