If you live inside the cushy bubble of the elites, you usually have a problem with the concept of the silent majority. You live by the polls and by the logic of your own infallible worldview. Until there is something that upsets it like the wrong candidate won an election or a cherished policy is defeated in a public referendum. How can those unwashed masses ignore the beautiful infallibility of your logic? Some of the masses are not as dull as the elites like them to be.

I was introduced to and met Rudi in Angola when he started to develop his Sub Saharan Africa network. At the time he worked for EconGas/OMV and he tried organizing longterm LNG supply for them under the unlikeliest of all circumstances.
