For The U.S., There Is No Net-Zero Without Major Permitting Reform

For any developed country, there is no industrial and hence no economic recovery without permitting reform. We must get real. Permitting has gone overboard. Every time anyone wants to do anything one needs to entertain and pay for an army of consultants and inside resources to take care of the regulatory long tail. Plus the threat of legal and real-world activism makes it also prone to blackmail from activists. Plus, there is massive political bias. Regulation should protect people from harm, not make itself the money spinner for political and ideological interests. Only the big corporations are ready to face this. The small ones all die and you can’t reform something by letting dinosaurs only survive.
