We are at historically low levels of CO2 in the air. Humans need oxygen to live and breathe. We have a full fifth of the atmosphere for that. One liter out of every five liters of air is oxygen. Just imagine we would create an atmosphere where the oxygen count is 500 times lower. Do you think we could still breathe with only 0,04% of oxygen? I doubt that. But that’s what plants have to contend with. we are slightly above 400 PPM of CO2 now. If we fall below 150 PPM, we are done for as our plant friends won’t survive. We need more CO2 in the air, not less.
