This spring was one for the history books. I cannot even remember a May when we had to wear thick jackets. About 5 years ago I spent a week in Brazzaville – Congo. It was summer. When I came back to Vienna the temperature there was higher than in Equatorial Africa. The highest temperature we saw in Summer 2020 was 36 degrees Celsius, more than 5 degrees below the previous 10 summers. And those who look at solar activity cycles knew that this would come. Thats also what drives our climate.

I was introduced to and met Rudi in Angola when he started to develop his Sub Saharan Africa network. At the time he worked for EconGas/OMV and he tried organizing longterm LNG supply for them under the unlikeliest of all circumstances.
