Global hydrogen trade to develop in four phases

This is going to cost an arm and a leg but rebuilding entire demand-side energy systems is an order of magnitude that will most likely bust any plan to import hydrogen. Pretty much nothing we have now is useful from ships to landing terminals to distribution infrastructure and even consumption devices. But wait, there is one. Synthetic methane made from hydrogen is still a pricey proposition to produce but at least once it hits the water everything is in place to distribute and use. No investment is required for that as everything that carried Natural Gas so far can be used without modification.
