Oh, we have made a ton of progress. Countries like Germany that have been industrial bellwethers in the past are now basket cases with industry dying. The US looks into an industrial revival but only in states that encourage shale oil and gas development and can deliver stable and competitive energy. Hey Texas, you are not going to be in this group if you don’t clean up your wind energy mess. Companies want stable energy before they want cheap energy – if they can have both they are all in. Ten years down the line this world will look very different.
