Greece and Bulgaria complete gas interconnector

Years ago I had the opportunity to take a look at the prospects for LNG import into South Africa. The existing gas grid is easy to comprehend. There is one single gas line coming in from Mozambique passing through heavily populated Gauteng on its way to KZN where it splits in two and goes for Durban and Richards Bay. I proposed a terminal in Richards bay as the existing line could be put into a reverse flow. This same thing will happen to a lot of pipelines that so far transported Russian gas from North to South. The tubes are there – nothing to build anymore. Well done Greece and Bulgaria.
