Guardian’s Hamilton Nolan Blames Capitalism for the G20 Climate Negotiation Fail

Capitalism? It’s not capitalism. Let’s be fair – most people in western developed countries have very weird ideas about what capitalism really is. Even those that are counted among absolute capitalists are far from it. Corporations and many entrepreneurs. Corporations are huge administrations where managers are hired guns hunting for bonuses and perks. And many so-called entrepreneurs live from work they get from political bodies or the civil service. How independent are they? The climate show starts to hurt people for real. Thats why it fails.

I love the smell of climate activist despair before the big COP26 conference. Smells like hope for a better future, in which nobody important even tries to pretend that climate change is a problem.
