Activists live in a dangerous dream world. When Greta took the famous picture of her on a train enjoying a copious breakfast, nobody gave any thought that most of this breakfast would not even have been possible without fossil fuels. How do bananas get to Sweden? And all the plastics everything was wrapped and packaged in. But it’s worse – not only can we not enjoy delicacies anymore without fossil fuels. The planet can also not sustain a population of 8 billion on renewables. Thats a scary prospect considering how far we went because of COVID already.

I was introduced to and met Rudi in Angola when he started to develop his Sub Saharan Africa network.
