If 80% of Australians care about climate action, why don’t they vote like it?

Either we don’t understand it or we don’t want to understand it. There is a silent majority on just about everything. Most people won’t tell you what they really think about any controversial topic (or any topic at all) as they don’t want to. But they still vote. Not talking about it does not mean they don’t care. Polls are unfit to test the waters. the only poll that counts is an election. It’s the activists that figure most prominently in the polls – they are not the majority.
