If net zero means letting Britain go dark, Labour are finished

It’s an elite problem. Once you are part of the upper crust, you will lose it. There are exceptions but they are few. Pretty much all politics is an elite sport. Or of the wannabe elites. Those wannabe elites are often worse than the true elites as they need to push narratives to advance. Those are the useful idiots. But all that does not help Britons. All political parties in Britain are woke. All of them? Nigel Farage and his new movement seem to be the outlier here. If the Tories are smart they give him a platform and capture the movement. But that would require them to see the signs of the time, ditch the leadership and the party grandees, and reverse from their toxic policies of the very recent past. Otherwise, they may be history.
