Labor must be honest on climate and jobs

No politician can ever be honest on climate. They would have to admit that they are gambling the country on the basis of evidence that is so flimsy it would not suffice to justify changing the color of the toilet paper. And they would have to admit that not only will it impoverish everyone except their friends but also that massive joblessness will result. Any politician speaking the truth would immediately be removed.

Joel Fitzgibbon says that Labor cannot forget the miners. But it also cannot forget that world markets move on.

I was introduced to and met Rudi in Angola when he started to develop his Sub Saharan Africa network. At the time he worked for EconGas/OMV and he tried organizing longterm LNG supply for them under the unlikeliest of all circumstances.
