Leviathan group starts plans for Israeli floating LNG terminal

Every time when prices for Natural Gas and especially LNG prices make some spectacular gyrations due to some sudden event, there are plans for projects where one asks if anyone with a calculator has ever gone through that project plan. Floating liquefaction is on the very expensive side. If there is no other choice, you may want to look at it and then it still depends on what the world market is ready to take. But if you have an onshore option, it’s always cheaper and performs far better. Plus, if you find more gas it’s much easier to expand with shared infrastructure and debottlenecking. The Leviathan partners should take another look.
