London Array Made Excess Profit Of £160 Million In 2021

I don’t mind companies making a profit – even a very healthy one. Even excessive ones are OK with me. If there was not this sour taste in my mouth that none of this came through being a better company or competitor or because they provide something the market is willing to pay extra for. It all came courtesy of tax and rate-payers being forced at virtual gunpoint to pay up for something they could have gotten for much, much less. And those wind&solar operators even have the gall to tell us that they provide the cheapest electricity. How much longer shall we have injury and insult at the same time?

I was introduced to and met Rudi in Angola when he started to develop his Sub Saharan Africa network. At the time he worked for EconGas/OMV and he tried organizing longterm LNG supply for them under the unlikeliest of all circumstances.
