In 2020 something happened to me – something important. As a lawyer, I am aware and comfortable that there are many who stretch the truth and lie outright. I know what soup I am navigating through and it does not shock me anymore. That being said, there was still some measure of “They can’t go that far as people will open their eyes” in me. The last bastion of faith in everything. And it all came crashing down in 2020 when I watched the US elections unfold. 2021 finished it off entirely. It’s almost painful to watch but obvious lies and deceit work all too well with most people.
