LNG: It’s light, natural and green

Another bubble in the making. People in such countries must be aware that cleaner air carries a price tag. That must actually be paid. For real. And when it comes to chose between having some more cash in the pocket and bad air or less cash and better air, many people will take the bad choice. A clean environment is a luxury – European nations and Americans went for it when they were rich enough. India has had gas in its sights for a long time now – this won’t change quick. As nothing ever does in India.

When Reliance Industries announced in 2002 it had struck some 11 trillion cubic feet (tcf) of gas in the Krishna-Godavari basin, it was akin to striking gold.
