Nothing wrong with satellite data but what really happens is that direct measurement is increasingly disregarded. As long as the satellite data corresponds with what we can observe directly we have a supplemental dataset. But nobody but those with access to the raw satellite data knows what the truth really is. And when we get it, thousands of assumptions and other variables have skewered everything to the point that the data only says what they want us to get
