Most people are not even aware that electric cars have existed since pretty much the beginning of motorized movement of people and goods. The electric motor turned out to be pretty popular. What was not is the difficulty of bringing the necessary electric energy with you. Batteries have become an awful lot better since those days more than a century ago but they have retained one characteristic – they are very expensive. And they still don’t give us the range even the least performing ICE gives us. Reality is hard to tame.
