Monday Mirthiness: Wally’s Employment Award

I spent quite a number of years working for big organizations such as the UN and the biggest Oil & Gas company of Central Europe. We had a lot of policies and other stuff that were totally non-sensical. In my last big company, I stopped going to weekly directors’ meetings after 2 years as they were a total waste of time and often counterproductive. Things that had nothing to do with the bottom line got MD’s attention while important matters were continuously kicked down the alley. When I left in 2011 and went to the US, I thought that it would be better but no way. It’s not the country, it’s the corporation. Many of them can only be left to die.
