More Confirmation Of The Infeasibility Of A Fully Wind/Solar/Storage Electricity System

The bigger the part of wind and solar grows in an energy system, the harder it becomes to camouflage the effects unreliable systems have. In a perfect world, electricity would be completely cut when the wind does not blow and the sun does not shine as currently, there is very little to no energy storage capacity. But those dastardly legacy hydrocarbon-based energy systems will save the day. I almost wish for that extreme scenario to happen as this would expose the ugly face of renewables to the people.

Although Ruhnau and Qvist do not say it explicitly, my conclusion from their paper is that it is a further demonstration of the complete infeasibility — indeed the complete absurdity — of attemptin…
