Thousands of years ago, the high priests of ancient cities shrouded their dings and sayings in mystery. Oftentimes they themselves wore veils and access to the was heavily restricted to increase the feeling of awe one must have had before such august beings. And they used dramatic language that only they had access to ancient knowledge which was important for the survival of the society. Today’s high priests are economists. Most of what they do is about as useful as an anus on the elbow but they have still persevered through all crises.
