Ocean Infinity expanding its Armada robotic vessels fleet
It’s a bit of a puzzle to me that we are confident that self-driving cars are able to traverse bustling city centers all on their own without producing an incident and out on the ocean, ships should not be able to perform this feat. There is plenty of space out there. I would expect most modern vessels to be on autopilot for most of the time anyhow. Why not do away with the remainder of a crew? My father was a sailor. He regaled me with stories of faraway countries when I was a kid. But those happy days of seafaring are over. It’s an optimized industry today. Take the people out.
