Permanent Legacy: Wind Industry Plans to Abandon Millions of 500 Tonne Concrete Wind Turbine Bases

Any oil and gas driller puts down a bond for decommissioning once the well is done producing oil so the lands can be brought back to the state before the drilling. That has not always been done in the past but it is now and the oil industry pays for its legacy. Why are wind operators allowed to leave those mountains of concrete and steel in the earth? Those chunks will still be there in thousands of years. Let’s not forget – for every single oil well, there are literally hundreds of those concrete monsters. But I think they will be monuments for our stupidity when we look back at the time when humans followed the carbon cult.
