Qatar is winning the last great fossil fuel gold rush

The moment when everyone wakes up with a huge headache and the feeling that he/she has done things that no normal person would do when the brain functions normally will be monumental. And it will only happen when people feel in their own lives, their own bodies how a life without hydrocarbons is. Asia does not give a hoot about this madness and if Trump makes it a second time, North America will bow out as well. Prices for hydrocarbons except coal will go up again reviving the US shale drillers faster than a journalist can dream up such nonsense. Europe will be a sad province of obscurity where blackouts and brownouts, as well as freezing in winter, will be the norm. How long will voters there go along? I don’t think it’s going to be a very long wait.

The next few years could be the last window of opportunity to build giant fossil fuel projects.

I was introduced to and met Rudi in Angola when he started to develop his Sub Saharan Africa network.
