Revived Sahara pipeline still faces hurdles

Let’s face it – this pipeline will never happen and even if it did, I would not want to trust my energy security to a pipe that runs through some of the most lawless regions of the planet. Extremely easy to blow up if you hold a grudge against – whoever. Besides, superlong pipelines such as this are not free. Even if there was no security risk, no transit fees, and no geology to take care of, I still think that LNG is cheaper.

I was introduced to and met Rudi in Angola when he started to develop his Sub Saharan Africa network.
