Germany’s success you say? Germany was once the economic engine of Europe. Everyone looked at Germany in envie. Look now – the economy is in doldrums and it has been there before COVID struck. Industry left to Asia and North America in droves and energy prices made the population miserable. And now Germany’s electricity grid is on the verge of failure. Soon, Germans will be able to enjoy all the pleasures of unstable grids like in many other unstable countries.

I was introduced to and met Rudi in Angola when he started to develop his Sub Saharan Africa network. At the time he worked for EconGas/OMV and he tried organizing longterm LNG supply for them under the unlikeliest of all circumstances.
