Sensible, sustainable nuclear power for Africa

Africa’s foremost energy problem is not generation. Well, in a sense it is one of the big problems for certain. But what would one do with a big nuclear power plant? Those plants are baseload monsters that require massive demand. And Africa’s foremost problem is transmission as networks are decrepit at best. I would have added fuel but the beauty of nuclear is that once fuelled up they run for quite a while until new fuel is required. But if you cant bring the electricity to the customer, a big power plant is of no use. Better go decentralized with many smaller gas turbines. Yes, South Africa is different, and it’s not an example for the rest of the continent.
