Shrink to fit: the year Big Oil starts to become Small Oil

It’s about time for big oil to go away. I actually like their divestment as this cleans up the oil world from those dinosaurs. They cant evolve anymore and clog the oil world with outlived business models and energy assumptions. There will be new oil and gas players and many of them will come from shale. Others will come out of National Oil Companies or from the fringe. Oil does not go away – it’s just rejuvenating. Thats a good thing.

I was introduced to and met Rudi in Angola when he started to develop his Sub Saharan Africa network. At the time he worked for EconGas/OMV and he tried organizing longterm LNG supply for them under the unlikeliest of all circumstances.
