Musk really pushes the envelope – he goes far beyond what we thought to be possible in many domains. I admire his take on spaceflight with his rockets. But I am also nervous as I know that no matter what amount of wishful thinking won’t make things real. He is onto something in spaceflight but Tesla is a Ponzi scheme of the premier order. It will still attract lots of money and investment but in the end, the laws of gravity can’t be ignored forever. It will come down as everything does. Electric cars are a fad and when the world wakes up to what this Climate change thing really is, they are as dead as a doornail.
